Copyright & Takedown Policy

Last Updated: December 19, 2025

This Copyright & Takedown Policy applies to auren.news ("Auren", "we", "us", "our").

It explains how we handle copyright claims, content removal requests, and rights-holder communications.

1. Nature of the Platform

Auren is an analysis and information-context platform.

Important distinctions:

• Auren does not publish original news reporting

• Auren does not claim ownership over third-party content

• Auren analyzes and summarizes content already made public

• Any display of content occurs only at the explicit request of a user

Auren operates as a technical intermediary, not as a content publisher.

2. Ownership of Third-Party Content

All copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual property rights in third-party content remain with their respective owners.

This includes, without limitation:

• News articles

• Editorial content

• Headlines

• Images

• Logos

• Trademarks

• Brand names

Auren makes no claim of ownership over such materials.

3. Transformative Use & Analysis

Auren's core activity is transformative processing, including:

• Summarization

• Contextualization

• Bias and tone analysis

• Credibility signal extraction

• Comparative framing analysis

These activities are designed to:

• Add new meaning or insight

• Reduce informational noise

• Improve media literacy

They do not replace the original work.

4. Display of Article Content (Reading Mode)

Auren may display article text in a reading or analysis mode, subject to the following safeguards:

• Content is displayed only after explicit user action

• Content is tied to a specific user-submitted URL

• Original source attribution is preserved

• Content is not marketed as a substitute for the original

• Users are encouraged to consult the original publisher

This mechanism is user-initiated access, not redistribution.

6. Good-Faith Copyright Complaints

If you believe that content accessible through Auren infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request.

We respond promptly and in good faith.
